Purity Obtained Without Endless Regret is an abstinence ministry of the Pregnancy Resource Clinic of St. Joseph, MO. We are a comprehensive abstinence education program that combines up-to-date statistics with "Experiential Learning Activities". Our goal is to provide young people with the truth about their sexuality as well as the hope to be able to make wise choices for their future.
Our curriculum can be used in public schools, private and parochial schools, church youth groups or any small group setting. It is best taught in 4, one hour sessions, but can be shortened to accommodate your group's needs. It is aimed toward teens in middle school through high school.
During the first session we discuss sexuality in general using personal testimonies and fun, interactive games. We want to renew their minds that sex is wonderful within the context of marriage.
The second session focuses on the media and its role in the perversion of sexuality. In this session we use up-to-date statistics and open discussion to expose the way the internet, TV, and movies have distorted the ideas of what sex is supposed to be.
We also discuss both the positive and negative ways Myspace and Facebook can be used and ways to avoid dangers and predators.
In the third session we discuss teen relationships and how to have healthy relationships with other teens without compromising your future romantic relationships. In this session we discuss ways to live this out successfully by being aware of how you present yourselves to others.
During session four, we discuss the consequences of engaging in sexual relationships. We educate
young people on STI's and the truth about "condom effectiveness". We give the whole truth so that they can make informed decisions. Also included in this session are fun games to help the students to interact and truly think about these consequences.We help young people with strategies to live out this abstinent lifestyle, so that they can experience success. Our program is free of charge.
